I just bought a 2004 cbr 1000rr and was wondering what temperature the bike should run at sitting still and max. temp... where i need to be worried of overheating or damaging my motor??? someone please respond

 

In the hottest part of summer (100F or so) it runs about 180F at cruising speed. Idling or putting around in the city puts it at 220F and then the fan comes on and cools her down to about 205F.

I will often times see 225 or more when I am it the city stop-n-go traffic.

 

These temps are consistent with my F4i, AND temps should be ~200 when drafting behind trucks
