Hey I've been on the forums before about 4 years ago when i had a F2. I went through 2 moves and 3 other bikes since then. And now I have a '01 F4i. It is a streetfighter and has been laid down before and I'm ok with that because I plan to make it into a track bike hopefully by next year. I am definitely changing the headlight and mirrors though. I can't stand those.

Couple questions. without the air ram ducts, is there any concern with water getting in there? chit, there was more questions but can't think of them now. anyways, pictures!

 

Welcome back. That bike has potential.

I wouldn't worry too much about rain unless you are riding in very heavy downpours. Otherwise, not much concern.

i remembered a question, and i feel a bit stupid having to ask this too. where is the key hole to take off the passenger seat?

 

From your pic, looks like its been relocated. The key lock may not even be there anymore. Back b/f I did the split-seat conversion, I eliminated my key lock & only had the cable end of the lock mechanism sticking out of my FE. It was just a metal nub that I pulled on to unlock my seat.
