Thanks for the welcome AI1040 Good Advice, Im Gonna take it easy for a while until i get used to her, last bike i had was a 1985 GPZ 600R (fast bike also for its time)
i used to get the odd scary tank slapper even with a damper fitted on the gpz, only bought this cbr 600f2 yesterday, and i started straight away to fix things on it,Think i might have a rectifier prob, head light dims slightly when i rev up, also noticed acid leak from top of battery i downloaded service manual for that f2 and honda common service manual which should be a big help, i have the rectifier off and im gonna check it with multi meter, other jobs to tackle are,, new tyres, chain and sprokets, and maybe CCT, ,the wife wont see me much for a while

Thanks IDoDirt, I'm 59 with a bad back and haven't ridden a bike in 15yrs but amazed how comfortable the ride and seat on the cbr 600 f2 is for a sports bike, this cbr is nearly 30rys old, but these older CBR'S still turn heads, and are really quick, Had Suzuki's and Kawasaki in the past, but hard to beat Honda engineering and reliability, thanks for info on headlight dimming, will let you know how i get on, maybe I'm just looking for problems that might not be there, but better to check out all or any issues before i take to the road
