Noob (sort of) in NY
Hi guys,
I'm really glad I found this site. Back in 1991, I bought a brand new CBR600F2 and road the heck out of it for 3 years. Then I sold it, got engaged, married, bought a house, and had kids.
So now I'm finally ready (and can afford) to buy a bike again. I'm looking at the CBR 929 and the 954. I actually looked at a 954 today and the bike felt great. Hopefully I'll have something within the next 2-4 weeks since the weather here in NY (Orange County) is finally starting to break!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Dan

RE: Noob (sort of) in NY
Welcome! There are a lot of good threads here about how to check over a used bike, so if you search around you'll find a lot of useful information.
Drivers have gotten a lot worse over the last fifteen years, since most of them are now too busy with their cell phones and blackberries and dvd players to pay attention to the road.

RE: Noob (sort of) in NY
Thanks very much!
Munson - so far, the information I have found here has been VERY useful. And I totally agree - I've seen people texting while driving!! Unreal.
NY Erion929 - thanks very much for posting that guide - it is extrememly informative! I definitely want to be a part of the meet on 6/21 in Woodstock - that's only about an hour north of me (and a nice ride up on back roads). I should definitely have a bike by then .
Thanks again!
