newbie and newbie to a bike
hey guys, i just put my downpayment on a 06 600rr which i will be picking up in march at my local dealer. anyways i was wondering how much different it will be riding one vs my 99 cr250. im just curious. and im also looking for aftermarket parts. like the fender eliminator, angel eyes halo lights, exhaust. comments?? greatly appreciated
Hello & Welcome
In March? Why? It will ride very different, I started out on a Ninja 250 - loved it, but now my best friend loves it and I love the F4i. Simple as that, but it's different....don't gun it too soon, until your used to it. Good Luck!

I think everyone was wondering why the long delay in getting the bike. The CR250 is a dirt bike right? If so definatly sign up for and take a MSF class before you get the bike. A 600RR isn't a great beginner bike.
Welcome to the forum. I own an '05 600RR and could'nt be any happier. I'm just going throught the break in period. 175 miles on the odo. Although the 600RR is a GREAT bike, and it's balance super welll, I wouldnt recommend it as your first jump from a 250cc. THERE IS A LOT OF A DIFFERENCE in handling, and speed.
I would say the transition will feel like moving up from an SUV to a F1 race car. Just a word of advice; RESPECT IT, and you'll be amazed on how great of a bike it is.
p.s TAKE THE Motorcycle safety class.
