Newbie From Barcelona via UK!
Hello Fellow members!
My name is Dan and I am currently living in sunny Spain in the city of Barcelona. I'm from the UK and I moved here just under a year ago. I was brought up on a farm so I have some basic knowledge of mechanicing but nothing specific with regards to a CBR
My first 'big bike' was a 99 KTM Duke 620 (awesome machine) and I sold it before leaving to Barcelona. Once I arrived here, I wanted to take advantage of the roads and buy a more fitting bike, so in invested in a black '96 CBR 600f3 which is proving to be a nice little bike!
Downsides so far are that I have had the good old rectifier/regulator problem, which I put off by charging the battery every few days...BIG MISTAKE. I got back from a short ride in the city and the wiring to/from the rectifier got so hot, it set on fire! I managed to replace the wiring, got a new rectifier and it was as a good as new until..
A nice chap decided that he couldn't see me while I was waiting at some traffic lights and crashed into the back of me, breaking the exhaust, giving me the joy of a 3.5 month war with the insurance companies before I finally got it repaired!
I've had it back now about 2 months when a week or so ago, it decided to help me save fuel by dropping down to 3 cylinders(!!!).. some thing which I'll talk about on another post!

I'd just like to say that its great having not only a community of like minded people, but a knowledgeable and helpful one and I'm pleased to be a part of this forum!

Sorry you've had such a time w/ your F3. Kudos to you for keeping it going. Hope you get quick solutions here to further issues you have w/ it. Members here are pretty helpful.
