A wise friend you have and even more so, you`ve made the right decision about the forum What can we help you with about the direction? Are you looking for parts or advice for anything between basic maintenance to a complete rebuild? Riding technique? Gear? Don`t be afraid to ask, someone always knows what you`re looking for.

Anyway, welcome to the forum, if you`d like you could let us in a bit about yourself, where you live, age, riding history, previous bikes etc... If you`re in USA chances are there`s at least one member close to you and since we have people from Australia to Finland it`s faintly possible anywhere!

hi and welcome
as said you are in the right place for help and advice, get over to the 954 section, and they will happily advise you, get some pics up of your ride (you can use photobucket)

954 section is in the subsection, past cbr models, you should see it just scroll down a ways on the main forum page.
my advice on the shims is to measure and order what you need instead of getting a whole kit full of shims you never use.
you can also try out the search feature for any issues.
also https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-954rr...-manual-23443/
that should be your service manual, i've gotten mine from the site as well

Right on man. Welcome to the forum. I'm in Tarboro (about the same distance from Raleigh as Greensboro is closer to the coast). How far are you out of spec on the valves?

Welcome to the CBR Forum,

As for a direction my Dad always told me "Go west young man" - but I think he was just trying to get me to leave home.

Hop into the 954 section CBR 954RR - CBR Forum - Enthusiast forums for Honda CBR Owners and have a look around.

Cheers, SB
