Default New from TN

Whats going on guys. My name is Steven. I live in middle Tennessee. Just bought my first CBR tonight. 98 600 f3. It's a beater bike that some kid tore up that I decided to rescue. Picked it up for $850. I wanted to join these forums to benefit from the wealth of knowledge all of you guys have. So I will read a lot of what's been written and I will use the search feature. But after that, I'm sure I'm going to have lots of questions since this is my first real project bike. So help me get this bike running and let's get riding!

Welcome to CBRF Stephen! Glad you found us & like what we have to offer. Yes, there is a wealth of information here, as well as helpful members.

Congrats on getting your F3. Sounds like you've got yourself a project but as long as the bike has a solid foundation, you can bring it back to glory.

Settle in & ask as many questions as you need.

I'm not really sure so "solid" it is. It's pretty rough haha. here's a picture. I'm going to start my build thread right after this and post some more pictures of what I'm working with.

Welcome Stephen....and ride we shall!!! Give the bike a thorough cleaning and see what you find. Then basic maintenance...oil, filter, sparks, brake fluid etc.....safety check...see anything out of ordinary... Service manual is needed:...down load some free files....

I got it to run today. So sketchy, but at least it's running.
