Just picked up my first bike ever yesterday and i just wanted to express my exitment. its a 2001 cbr 929rr the only bike i ever REALLY wanted. this bike came out when i was finishing high school and i remember everytime we had that "when i get a bike" conversation I said "im gonna get a 929". Well 10 years later i finally got one. now the only things thats killing me is the fact that i promissed my wife i wouldnt ride it until the spring. (she doesnt want me to insure it and register it for maybe 2 weeks worth of riding) hey, she let me get it so no arguing here. anywayz yea im REALLY HAPPY

Congrats on your first bike! Great that you got what you've always wanted. The 929 is a great bike.

Do you have any riding experience? Many of us here highly recommend the MSF Course... Motorcycle Safety Foundation . The course teaches basic techniques & safety. Most locations provide bikes for the course as well. You & your wife could take it together! Get her a bike & go riding.

Get yourself some good riding gear & be safe out there.
