Default New Rider Here

I just got my first bike (1990 CBR600RR). Me so happy!!! I was wondering where I can find specifics on my bike. It's bone stock except for a crappy Yoshimura pipe. I can't find anything for a bike of this age.

Thanks,

BCPower

errr... The CBR 600 RR's first production year was 2003, that I know of [&:] You may have a VERY rare bike [:-] hehe.

im not an expert though. It does look nice.

take it easy,

Chris

*EDIT*
http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/059801/ there is a '90 cbr 600 f

http://www.bikez.com/bike/index.php?bike=11935 same as above, only this site has good info on it.

http://www.motorbikes.be/en/Honda/19...20600%20F(1)L/ last quick link i could find. I "think" you have a CBR 600 F (1), but someone decided to "swap" the stickers on the back w/ the 600 RR... I have no idea [&:]

but... those last two links will give ya somethin to go by, if it is what your bike actually is...

sorry i dont have more info,

Chris

Well now you all have me wondering. I certainly don't claim to know anything about that sort of thing. I just started getting into this stuff a couple months ago.

I guy said it was a '90 but I thought it looked newer. I wonder if he threw on RR decals then.

Hmmm... I'm gonna have to call Honda with the VIN.

Swat,

Your avatar got me going... I looked up the CBR timeline on sportrider.com. Mine is either a late 80's hurricane or an early 600F. If you go to this page and look at the bike's lines, you'll see what I mean. I think someone just stuck on an RR decal on the tail.

Blink - a good call on the 600F

Hi and welcome to the boards. You have a beautiful bike regardless if it's an RR or not. Glad to have you

Some older bikes were made quickly and do not have many aftermarket accessories available. You can bet if someone in this forum knows how to get a hold of some for your bike, you'll get that info soon. Try typing in your bike in "search" columns on the web. You'll be amazed at what you find with a little digging.
