87 1000 sat behind the apartment building last two months water leaking into the gas tank. Bike was awful close to "street fighter" status already. 2nd to last owner apparently felt duct tape, glue and pliers were Honda tools of choice. Picked it up Sunday for too much $$, Fuel sytem drained, cleaned, carbs overhauled, and reinstalled. PO had EPOXIED the petcock in the on position. First ride will be today. Anyway it is at Gary's home for wayward bikes, getting a minor rehab. And here I am for the needed shoulder to cry on, and fine points schooling. Glad you all are here and supporting the old beasts!
