Hey guys, I am new here and wanting to get some knowledge from riders instead of the brochures from the internet. LOL

I cannot make up my mind between the 1000RR or the 600RR... I know the price is a big issue, but thats not what im asking... Since CBRs are real good at handling is there a difference between the two? Reason why im asking cuz i really like the REPSOL and it only comes in 1000RR.

hey welcome aboard!

Well being "somewhat responsible " riders here, there's a question that has to be asked: what's your riding experience? I just moved up in the liter bike class and I have to say even with my very moderated riding style, the bike and the engineers are what kept me alive that 1st mile

Wh#t I'm saying is that it's possible for a completely new rider to start on a liter. But not really advisable. So if you have 0 experience, I'd say get the 600rr and use the money saved to find a Repsol fairing kit

I agree with Kuroshio. 600 has lots of power still. Why do you like Repsol? Just the looks of it?

Welcome aboard juntao!

As one of those "responsible" riders, I would not recommend you starting on a liter bike. If indeed you are just starting to ride. Even w/ maturity & ability, the learning curve w/ today's modern 600's is a steep curve. Starting w/a liter sport bike is asking for a challenge which you may or may not be able to accommodate.

So *YES* there is a h-u-g-e difference between the two bikes...power, weight, handling, etc. And, the difference is translated to advanced control.

Agree w/ Kuro... Is it possible to start on a liter?...yes. Is it advisable?...no

Don't enter into a decision quickly. If you haven't taken the MSF course Motorcycle Safety Foundation, do yourself a favor & get signed up & take it. You'll learn basic safety & riding technique that you can build upon to become a responsible rider.

Good luck w/ your decision.

The Repsol is just one sexy motorcycle. I really like the looks of the bike. Everyone knows its a Repsol when you see one on the road.

I've been riding since i was 16, but been driving 150cc mopeds that i use to "race." Back in Indonesia, where i used to live, thats about all they had and used to race them from light to light. After graduating from highschool came back to the states. My bro-in-law let me drive his Harley when i came back. I have taken the MSF at a Harley Dealership since at the time I was underage, 18. I have driven a my friends Kawasaki Ninja 1000. And, I know the difference between the cruisers and sport.

I have thought about getting the fairing kit for the 600, but to me its like lifting a 2wd truck and taking it mudding. LOL I thought about getting a GSXR 750, but i just love the look of the CBRs!!!

THanks for yalls replies!
