Hi guys.

Found this site doing some searches on problems i was having with the CBR, and again when i was looking up streetfighter ideas, so i thought i'd join.

My name's Declan, i'm from East Lothian in Scotland... i'm 20, and i've been riding for just over 3 years.

Lets give you my life story then.

this is me.

I passed my CBT in may '09, on a 1999 CG125 i got for £400.

That was nicked, unfortunately. I then bought another one...

This was a 1993 with 250,000 miles on the clock... you can probably tell by the terrible condition it was in.

I was then knocked off the bike one night buy a car, the guy said he didn't see me.

After about a year, i did my test and bought myself a Kawasaki GPZ500s.

I took my time with this bike (bought it as a non runner), sprayed it up and got it running, and it ended up like this

This was the second bike of mine to be stolen.

I got it back the next day, as they'd blown the main fuse so couldn't get it started. they decided they'd give it a good going over before leaving it though, so it was a bit of a mess when i got it back.

I turned that one into a cool streetfighter.

I then had a triumph TT600, which i absolutely loved.

but after losing my job, i bought something a bit.... cheaper...

absolutely the worst bike i have ever owned.

That was stolen from my girlfriend's house, and so i decided i was going to buy the bike that was most recommended. that turned out to be a 90's CBR600f.

I've had it for a year and it's had no end of problems, but it's nearly sorted, so i'll be able to get some good use out of it. Such a fun bike, always wants to be up on 1 wheel and it sounds amazing.

Since it's been having so many problems, i've decided i'd like to 'fighter it. I love the look, and i'm not keen on the fairings of this bike.

I've started a thread on this to keep track of my progress - https://cbrforum.com/forum/street-fi...ighter-140676/

Anyway, that's me so far.

Cheers

Dunc

That's a lot of bikes lost in 3 years. Good that you still have the itch to ride still. Good luck with the street fighter transformation.
And...welcome to the forum!
