hello to all my fellow riders. Heres the quick side of my story:
You can call me "Dutch".
Im 29, got two beautiful kids, a boy 9 and a girl 4. I work as a "machinist" in a pattern shop. Im a born raised Country Boy (although I dont care for the music too much)). My dad was a welding teacher and later went on to be lead fabricator in different contrustion companies. I grew up in a log house with a 40x64 pole barn set up for building custom duck boat blinds. Started in high school with cars. My first was a 1984 camaro, then 1981 Monte Carlo... Switched over to Jeeps and 4x4s next and off roading has been a huge hobby in my life ever since. While my dad still has his '78 Kawasaki RS750 that he got brand new, I have only been riding for about 5 years now. My current project has a lot of history.. well, kinda.. It was my brothers bike, back in the day, I was riding it when a young female driver pulled out in front of me, RIGHT in front of me! I locked em up, lowsided... and bike lived in a barn under a tarp for a long time.. like 2 years after that. Last year, after bank forces parents to sell house, I've gotta get that bike, and two others, out of the barn. I somehow managed to breathe enough life into that bike to get me riding through the end of last summer. The bitter cold winter and my non insulated garage made it hard to get much done over the last few months but I am quite excited to get this thing finished now that the weather is finally turning for the better....

That being said, I am highly unfamiliar with how the whole forum thing works. I primarily use the internet for Amazon to buy stuff, facebook to tell ppl about stuff and youtube to watch stuff. And most of that I do from my phone! But now that the weather is nice,Ive got my laptop sitting on my workbench in the garage. And since Im new to the forum thingy, I thought that I should make it clear that I dont know any of the lingo...I'll try to work with my nerd friends about how all this stuff works.. untill then, be patient

So far this week I have installed 4 LED signals, two with custom diode additions. Ive also cleaned and reinstalled the carbs on the F1... And ALL THANKS to CBRForum.com and the helpful posts. That is what took me out of the dark ages and onto this forum-wagon.

...but still, whats a trackback...? lol

Welcome to the forum thingy....

If you can navigate amazon, this will be simple. Just be honest and respectful and you will be fine here. I do need to warn you though, this community can be addicting. All the good members you will get to know will become like family, or better yet, friends. This place is way better than facelessbook, less drama!

P.S. don't worry about those trackbacks.....

Thanks guys, I'm glad to finally be here. Ive had my bike for a few years and my brother had it before that. He's upgraded to a Harley StreetBob last fall when he got back from Afghanistan.
