Hey all, my name is Tom im from Cincinnati, i just bought an 04 CBR 1000rr, its my second bike previous being a 01 GSXR 600. I figured i would get out of all my suzuki groups and get into honda and learn some more about em. I bought the GSXR as my "warm up" bike and now i moved to bigger and better things and im looking to modify this bike and make it more badass. Right now its prettty much stock besides a leo vince exhaust and a few body mods such as clear lights , swingarm mounted license plate, and a black windscreen. Ive only put about 200 miles on this bike and now i have it hanging in my garage becasue i took the rims off to get new tires and change the brakes, but i have just noticed that the left side fork is leaking oil!... so if anyone has some advise on how to go about doing this i suspect its a broken seal. I am not real knowledable about how to fix motorcycle parts although i am very knowledagable with cars and how to fix them. If anyone has any tips on this fork let me know, Thanks!

Tom

hi and [sm=welcomesign.gif]to the site!!
Post some pics of that bad boy when you can.
Also you might want to check out the 1000RR forums and post in there about fork seal replacement, I'm sure someone can help you out.
Good luck!!

My husband and I just moved to Ohio from New Jersey and is seem that the people in Ohio love gsxr. I see so many glad to see you are steering away from them. Lets be different.

Just take it to a shop if you're not sure. When i Bought my 954 it had a bad left fork seal. It was like $260 to fix both of them and i had it back the same day. Unless you want to work in your garage on the bad boy ( been 110 all week here).

If you are a Suzuki guy maybe try the shop on this one. Don't want your first Honda experience to be a bad one.
