Alright seems like the ball is rolling fast. We meet at DIEDRICHS COFFEE HOUSE in Huntington Beach. Major crossroads are BEACH BLVD AND STARK. There is also a SPORT CHALET there. We typically meet any where from 7 to 8 in the morning. From there usually we decide on where to ride and depending on weather. Usually the spots we go to are Malibu canyons, Angeles Crest, Idyllwild, Oretega ( when weather or just dont feel like riding far.) Those honestly are the best up here in SOCAL AREA. This past sunday when went riding at Malibu....it was a great turn out of 13 bikes and one of them was a chick on a R6. About two years ago that was a meeting spot but some ********* come along and want to start they're own riding club and take everyone away. All we do is meet have fun and ride..no bull**** meeting to attend or dues to pay. Plus the people I ride with are very good riders. Like this weekend even experienced riders go down. As one of my buddies did. He highsided it. But he is ok no major injuries. Here is the website of some pictures a rider took of us. Mine is the red cbr with Jardine pipe. SImply just highlight and copy to your address bar and feel free to look...no its not a **** site just some pics of this sundays ride in Malibu and my buddy going down. By all means people email me at tallbignbad@aol.com on future rides. And mene i meant to get with you on riding but i was out the door by 6 in the morning. Email me brother and I will call. I always call. Hey what do you expect I am a Marine and I keep my word. Take Care everyone

hey Adam

i hate waking that early too
if ya wanna go up the Crest or Tujunga later in the day call me @ 310-972-0626
in case you're wondering what either are, check out the map @ http://www.newcombsranch.com/map-1a.html

i went up the Crest to Newcombs on Wed afternoon
its gotten a lot bumpier after the rains last month but its not a bad run.
Further up, they have closed off the road towards Wrightwood and there was snow visible near the 6000 ft marker

cheers
Sapan

Hey there just wanting to share how our 1st group ride went:

Last Sunday we (my son & I) wanted to meet you guys at DIEDRICHS COFFEE HOUSE in Huntington Beach but realized it was too far at that time in the morning. So @ 7 am we headed towards the Mtns in San Bernardino. In the past in the corner of 40th st and Waterman I've seen guys on their bikes and taking off somewhere .....

We got there and 25 min later 3 other bikes arrived: Ducatti 929 (I think), Suzuki GSXR & Yamaha YZR. As we go up they get excited and take off leaving us behind, since I have my son as passenger there's no rush. Then we entered a series of consecutive "S" curves as we exit one of them my son gets scared thinking we're going to fall and puts his leg down, pushing the bike in the opposite direction, as I'm trying to stop the bike in the middle of the curve we run over the dirt on the side of the road and fell at about 20-25 mph.....

We had just passed a CHP cruiser, so 30 secs after we fell there he was. He thought my son had fallen off the bike but witnesses told them we both fell at the same. He was really cool, offered an ambulance or tow truck luckily we were okay and bike worked so we rode back …..

Other than the bruises and body ache we're both okay ..... my son is a trooper never complained but the first thing he said was "I'm sorry dad" but it wasn't his fault, he just did what he thought was right "when he thought we were going to fall".

We're riding the bike again .....damage was minor but noticeable

ouch. thats one reason i want to get my seat cowl.. i already removed my back pegs. i dont want to be responsible for someone on my bike. but unless you ride a motorcycle it would have been his natural instinct to put his foot down. glad to hear you guys are ok

Glad to hear your alright. The ride up to malibu was nice. Had some new riders to the group and virgins to the canyons but they enjoyed themselves. My seat cowl for my 1000 was KIA (killed in action) screws vibrated loose and the cowl flew off on the 5 freeway. Needless to say for those who have a seat cowl for their bikes you might want to silicone the screws in. Oh well, I will just call honda and whine ...lol. Well every sunday we meet. Until then take care
