Hello guys. My name is Daniel. I recently picked up a CBR f4i 2001 as my first bike. Signed up for the MSF course, and already picked up jacket, gloves and helmet..
So far I'm just taking it extremely easy, under 20-25 mph, riding around in parking lots and around the block, learning the clutch and slow speed turns. I am 260 pounds and must admit its still ALOT of bike. That being said, i am excited to learn and am taking it slow.
I am from Kansas around the Wichita area, so if there is anybody close on this forum, feel free to shoot me a message, any advice is greatly appreciated.
That being said, hello guys. And i look forward to learning as much as i can from you all.
Daniel

Welcome to the forum Daniel! Congrats on getting your F4i.
Kudos for signing up for the MSF! Most all of us recommend it. Great that you are practicing & learning safety. Keep that learning mentality & it will take you far.
Good that you've got gear. Some over-the-ankle boots are recommended as well. Going down & scraping an ankle across pavement it like a cheese-grater.
Good to have you w/ us!

Welcome!
Congrats on the bike and nice job taking it slow in learning how to ride. Too many new riders just buy a bike and go see how fast it can go...and end up dead. Stay in your comfort zone always. Keep in mind that Riding skills develop faster than a new rider's awareness skills. Most people on the road SUCK at driving, it's up to you to watch out for your own safety.
