Hey guys. I'm new here but not to motorcycles. Just picked up a trashed 94 cbr1000f for a project. Gonna put the motor on a big boy go kart. Having some issues finding parts though. Alternator ( cover is missing and the rest is a little rusty) trying to get it to run before I pull the motor off to mock it up. Do have some questions though. Will it still run without the alternator cover? Just to test it out mainly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. And here is what it's going on.

going to stretch it and build a top cage. Also use metal 50 Cal ammo cans on each side for storage and a 5.56 ammo can for electronics. It's going to be my new range/ hunting rig. Mainly because I'm in the gun world pretty good.

 

I like it. Ammo can are a great idea for electronics. I wouldn't have thought of that.
I can't remember if there is any electronic in the cover. If not it should run.
