New member and F4i > RR
Whats up peoples.
Just picked up a 04 F4i with 7k miles for a quick and painless sale of $2500.
Some background:
Now i'm a total newb, took the MSF course and have been riding for a total of 4 days. This is actually my second bike, first bike that I rode 1 day of before I realized it was too much for me was a 99 Ducati 996. Yes I know I'm doing it wrong LOL.
The Duc was too heavy, tall and "racy" (ten mins and my wrists were crying). I realize i needed something less racy and more beginner friendly.
I love Honda's reliability/design and the RR was shutting down the middleweight class in those years. I was so set on getting a 07 600RR after I read ALL the great things about the new model over the previous gen RR. As you can see, that stupid macho "need THE best super bike ever that I can afford for a beginner bike" syndrome was in full effect still. Fortunately, all CL ads fell thru and then I started just looking at the previous model. Few days ago I saw this F4i for cheap and snatched it up.
Now onto my opinion of the F4i being better...for a beginner (some even say this bike is tough for a beginner) this bike wins hands down vs a RR.
Way better ergonomics
Wont be able to tell performance difference anyway
Its still very sporty without breaking wrists.
While the styling is getting slightly dated, its a sexy bike
$2500 vs average deal price for an RR $4000
I'm loving every minute of it.
Back to lurking, see yall round.

Welcome to the forum and riding.
I can't say you're wrong about the f4i. At this stage of riding, comfort is super important. How van you learn to ride, if you can't stay on it? The f4i is s great bike for track days, but even better for just having fun on the streets and in the canyons. For $2500, you can't go wrong. Nice going finding one for that price.
