Got an 01 F4i a few months ago not running. Changed the fuel pump, cleaned out the tank rust, replaced a sensor, still wouldn't start unless you push started it. Then a friend came over and rode it hard and it cleaned out the old fuel and crap that must've been in the cylinders so now she starts up perfect. 20k miles, power commander and rr swing arm waiting to be installed along with new Dunlop Q3s.

Thanks! I'll try to post some pics but it's not working off my phone right now, might have to get on the computer.

Welcome to the forum. Tell us something about yourself, where you live, and of course we need pics of your ride.

Thanks for the welcome!

My name is Vitaliy and I live in Vancouver, WA. my younger brother got himself an 84 Sabre two years ago and I decided to tear it apart and "restore" it over the winter. First real bike I every really worked on. Had a job powder coating so I took advantage of that and redid the frame and everything on the Sabre. I have a thread on v4musclebike on the build. But anyway that got me hooked on bikes.
I'm just getting done with the RR swingarm swap, gotta finish up the small stuff but its raining this weekend so cant ride anyway.

Bringing her home. Didn't run. Installed a new fuel pump and a sensor, cleaned out the rust in the tank. Unfortunately I think I deleted the pics of the tank and pump, they were nasty.

As you can see, zip ties holding it together. I'll be getting new fairings in a few weeks I think. That's my brother's Sabre, still a work in progress.

Garage is a mess, need to rid myself of two bikes, trying to get them running in the mean time, got them both dirt cheap but don't want to keep them.

My dad, 52, enjoying the F4i.

Getting surgery.

As it sits at the moment. I think I'll throw on the power commander whilst I got the tank up, not decided yet though since I have to adjust it and I'm heading out of town tomorrow for the week.
Got the tires on myself today, first time doing that, and put dynabeads in, first time using those as well. My buddy currently has a job powder coating so he did my wheels yesterday. Don't quite match the red on the fairings but I like them.
I was wondering if anyone happens to know the brand of the exhaust I have? All it says is Titanium on it and I've had no luck trying to find out the brand.

So after connecting my power commander my bike wouldn't start. I connected it to my laptop and it recognizes the power commander but in the program it says device not communicating. Soon as I unplug the power commander my bike starts up fine.

Welcome to the forum. As this is the intro area of CBRF, not everyone will see this to help with your problem regarding the power commander. I would advise posting it in the general tech area. A lot of our members have them, I'm sure someone has dealt with this issue before.

I hope it gets solved quickly.

Oh thanks I didn't think about that. I'll probably start a build thread.
