New Member From Dallas, TX - CBR500R
Hey guys,
New member here that would like to introduce himself. My name is David and I am originally from California, but relocated to Texas almost a decade ago. Still regret the move, but cost of living is so much better out here.
Anyways, I own a 2013 CBR500R which is the fist bike I have ever owned. It was in good condition, but had some scratches on both casings so I know it may have been dropped before. Other than that it runs great, which is what I care about! I have been driving it for about 2 months now and plan on riding it during winter.
I had thought about getting an R6 or other 600, but I have a wife and 2 kids to worry about, so I didn't want to get a 600 as my first bike. I also heard that the 500 had amazing gas mileage and this will be my primary mode of transportation to work. I might step up to a 600 later, but I'm loving the 500 for now.

Welcome to the CBR Forum David,
Can't say I'm aware of the CBR500R. But good to hear you're a year round rider!
Just be aware that as a new member until your approval by an Administrator, posts will be moderated. If you want to put up pictures of your bike use Photobucket or similar and use the IMG links.
Keep posting and enjoy the forum.
Cheers, SB

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the 500! My wife had a parallel 500, and I still talk about how fun that thing was to ride. You can wring its guts out and stomp through 4 gears at WOT without breaking too many laws as opposed to using 10% throttle at half of the rpm band on a 600...
