New Member with CBR 750 Hurricane
Just wanted to say hello. I've got a 1987 CBR 750 up and running (rough), but at least its MOT'd and on the road. Anyone else know this rare bike or has one? Hope to hear from you. Jules
Hello and welcome Jules, yes you got a rare one there, dont know if they did a workshop manual for this one , but that doesn't matter as their a cross between the CBR1000 and the VFR750 so parts should be available, any pictures matey
The only manual I can find is in Japanese! Nice that, at least, I will never suffer a rattly cam chain. Trying to solve a fuel starvation issue wheh I slow down after hard acceleration. Currently suspecting a vacuum leak somewhere. Best wishes to all, Jules.
Gear driven cams. No chain!
Nice one matey hold on to that , yes the gear driven cams are great , The Japanese loved that on their home spun bikes , I restored a CBR400rr (grey import same as yours)with gear driven cams, easy to work with , just restoring a CBX750 they have oil tappets so no adjusting there either, so for parts check the early CBR1000 ,VFR750 and the early cbr400rr a lot of the parts for yours are inter changeable, can help with the workshop manuals but they will be pdf's
