Hey everyone,
My name is Jason and I'm 17 years old. I've been lurking around here for a while now and I am a speed freak. I am about to purchase my gear: Arai Race Black RX 7 Corsair Helmet, Joe Rocket Supermoto Black Jacket, Alpinestars SP2 Glove Black White, and Alpinestars Tech 3 Boots Black. I'm from Federal Way, WA and yes I will take the MSF course here this winter. I'm in the market for getting a 2001-03 F4i or RR. I'm new to the community and I know my limits so I will take it easy and slowly progress. However I wanted to ask if anyone has seen any reasonable deals in the PNW or if it would be beneficial to purchase a bike off of ebay and arrange to have it shipped? Any opinions or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Oh and one more thing, for my height 5'7 would I be able to flat foot a F4i or RR, or at least be comfortable at a standstill?

Actually, I checked some prices out from guys wanting to get rid of their bikes on this site, and you can find some pretty good deals. My first bike I bought was an 02' f4i, and I had it lowered about 3 inches. I'm only 5'6 and have short legs. I now have an 06' cbr 1000rr, and have not had it lowered. It might seem a little bit strange at first on your tip toes, but I wouldn't recomend having it lowered because you lose a lot of suspension in the front end, and you will miss that suspension inhigh speedturns, as well as power up wheelies if that's something you might be doing. Good luck on your purchase, and welcome to the forum.
