Welcome back to two wheels!

Post some pics and details of your new rife when you get a chance. What was your riding experience before your break?

I have a 1996 1000f that I had traded an AR-15 for It needed some body and paint work done.Just got done installing a new cct, turn signal relay, rear brake light switch and a tail light integrater. Now I have to figure out were this engine noise is coming from.It makes a slapping sound at idle, then goes away at higher rpms and when the clutch is in.

G'Day Chris and welcome to the CBR Forum, and also welcome back to the world on two wheels.

You have no doubt by now ventured into the Hurricane Saloon (preferably with a tight fitting tin foil hat) and the guys in there should be able to steer you to a solution for the noises your bike is making. It'll be timing chain and clutch pack perhaps??

Thanks for posting the picture of your bike. It looks great if somewhat tiny!

Cheers, SB
