Talking New-to-me CBR600F2

Just bought my first bike this past weekend.

1993 CBR600F2 Black with silver/red. 16k Miles. Small dent in tank. Picked it up for $2100. Previous owner just had the carbs cleaned.

Came with frame sliders and I'm glad it did, because I dropped it to keep it from going in a ditch after realizing I couldn't make a u-turn to the right sharp enough; left u-turn is fine. Probably just needs the handle bars adjusted.

Congrats on your first bike! Looks good. Years ago, I almost bought that same model. Good that there are frame sliders already installed for you.

Houston traffic can be hell (as I'm sure you know). ;-) Be safe out there!

Welcome aboard!

Nice bike congratz, F2's are a well balanced bike so that makes them great to learn on.
When doing a u-turn your head should be pointed down the road in the direction you want to go, so remember to look over your shoulder

Have fun

Wink

I host my pictures on my home computer, but I just moved to my new house and don't have internet set up yet.

This is the best I can do for now:

1993 Honda CBR600F2

I don't have access to upload pictures to my profile yet.

Awesome! I would highly recommend a motorcycle safety course. I have a 94 CBR600F2, Purple/black/yellow, that I bought in Houston. I have had undercharging problems since day one. I love the solid pull from 5000rpm up. Ride safe and Enjoy!

I've already taken the MSF Basic class and I'm so very glad that I did. Practiced on a Ninja 250. If not for the Ninja, I probably would have wrecked the CBR.

I'm still a bit scarred to bring it up that fast, but I'll get there.

I've read that the voltage regulator ( people call it the reluctor??) goes bad on these. Something about the position and lack of cooling.

Ride your own ride. Get there at your comfort level.

R/R = Regulator/Rectifier. Yes, R/R's do go bad from time to time. Its an easy replacement.
