Hey there Moorhous, $4K sounds like a reasonable "asking" price for an '02 f4i with 9K miles. The thing that would concern me is the "some miner head work"; don't like the sound of that. My guess is he probably had to replace the head for some reason, could've been something as simple as stripping a sparkplug thread, who knows? I'd run it by the guys in the 600F4i forum below, see what they say.

Welcome to the CBRF
4000 sounds pretty good ..
I would ask for receipts for the head work to describe what was done ,. just to put your mind at ease ..
The miles are very low for a 2002 , gee shes barely run in !!
As per normal , make sure tires , chain / sprockets and the body are in near perfect shape before you make an offer.... These basic points sometimes gives you an augment for a reduced price if they are worn or damaged..
Like all buyers , I would offer just a touch under the asking anyway...
yu never know , you might get a couple of hundred off ...
Good luck mate ..
BTW : Need any help around here just PM me :-)
Some fast find links are below mate ....use them with my compliments ..
