Default New here with engine problems

ok here we go hello everyone i own a 2000 cbr 600 f4 it had a problem of over heating so i filled up the coolant and i was riding it it has lots of power i was about three blocks away from home and it started making this weired rattling ticking noise so i took it easy i got right out side of my drive way then bam it died making this weired like compression noise i have no clue what the bleep happened.i am going to change the oil and filter and if any one knows why it is doing this can you please help i got like 40'000 kilomitors on it...outher than that when it heats up and then i shut it off i go start it up 5 minutes later and it runs fine then i go put it in gear and it stalls.if i leave it sit for 20 minutes it starts woring again.thanks for your time.

ok well i left my bike sit for two days and its got this like ratling noise in the engine some people say it could be the cct but it sounds like nails in a blender. if you could please help identify the problem that would be sweet.

WELL i zeroed in to the sound coming from my altinator case

k i got it thanks man i had to take my altinator case off in side holding down the wire for the altinator the bolt had shook loose so i tightined it back up changed my
oil filter now i gotta go get some oil what is your choice in oil..

Good to hear you found the cause of the rattling, hopefully it doesn't overheat anymore. As with oil, Rotella-T 5W-40 synthetic is good stuff.

well now i am running castrol 10w 40 and its got very nice shifts and the over heating went away.hopefully every thing works good now.
