Default New guy from S.E. Arizona

Hello everybody. Thought I would join up and see what I can find out about CBR600 F3. I picked up a 96 model a couple of years ago and it's been sitting in the corner of the garage waiting to get restofied. It's in pretty bad shape from sitting outside in Savannah GA before I got it. Lots of rusty, bent, broken, missing and generally jacked up stuff. I'll be posting pictures and information as the rebuild goes along.

Welcome to the forum Larry!
You will find all the info you need around here somewhere. The F3 has been discussed stem to stern many times over throughout the years. If you're not clear on anything, or just want to ask, feel free to do so. There are many helpful, and knowledgeable, members here that don't mind answering questions and giving opinions.

Good luck with the project. Start a "build thread" and document your progress.
Hopefully you have another bike to ride in the meantime.....

Welcome aboard Larry!

Nice collection of bikes.

Your F3 will make a nice project. We've got a very active F3 section that has helpful members. Hope you're able to get it the way you want asap.

Good to have you w/ us.

Restifications are usually awesome! I'd love to see before and after pics.. What are your plans?

Plans are to go through the entire bike and replace everything that is missing, broken, goobered up. Polish, paint and spiff up the rest. I have torn it down to the bare frame and am in the process of putting it all back, although it's slow going. Everything is rusted, broken, corroded or missing. And I do mean everything. I'll be doing a build thread soon.

Sure, post up a build-thread. Everyone likes those.

Good luck w/ everything & be sure to ask for help if you need it.
