Default New guy! North AL

Second post! I'm not a cbr rider yet. I had an 05 gsxr 600 and now an 09 fz1. The fz1 is too much through the curves for me. I'm looking at an 02 f4i that a friend of mine has. Its been half *** converted to a street fighter style bike by the guy before him. I like the looks of it, but gonna re-do a few things and give it my own paint scheme. I figure it will need tires and some wiring cleaned up. Is there anything else to look for on one of these? I think its pretty low miles.

Welcome to the forum Thad.

Hope you get your bike thing all sorted out. Good luck with the re-do. Get up some pictures soon. We have a huge street fighter community here to help you and appreciate your efforts.

Thad, the same issues you'd have at looking at any used (& maybe abused) bike, apply to this one as well. Just do your homework & inspect fully.

If you get it, the members here can help you work thru any minor issues that you may have. We've got a very active F4i section & lots of experienced members.

Hope it goes well.

Welcome to CBRF!

Thanks for the replies guys. I haven't had any issues with other bikes. Just mainly know to look at the sprockets, brakes and so on. I would like to get it and ride before it gets too cold, but it looks to be a winter project. Last winter we got lucky. I had the gsxr then and it didn't sit more than 3 or 4 days at a time. Believe it or not, it does get wicked cold in Alabama haha. I expect it to happen this year.
