Hi there,

Bought my first Honda CBR600 in 1989, brand new. Crashed it two weeks later going five miles an hour around a corner in Orlando, FL on some sand. Fixed it and rode it for several years til my little brother totaled it. Since then I've been riding my Harley but recently picked up an identical silver and white 1989 CBR600 from my now sister-in-law who doesn't ride anymore. It's been sitting for about six years and doesn't run so that is my project.

I gave it a complete tuneup, cleaned out the carbs, and it ran briefly but then sat over a winter and stopped again. From reading on this site prior to registering I am probably going to replace the float needle and seats on each carburetor because it is pouring gas out the overflows.

Looking forward to getting back into sport bike riding and having this thing running (just in time for winter, again). See you on the boards and maybe on the road. For now I'll be the guy riding the 1992 Harley FLSTF with Combat Veterans International colors on my back. Say hi if you see me.

Hello & welcome to CBRF!
I don't think you should have any problem getting the bike running again, just seems like some carb issues.
Post up in the 600F forum if you have any questions, lots of helpful guys in there
