Hey guys just wanted to introduce myself and my ride.. Just picked up my first bike last monday and i already am a huge fan of the cbr's... its a silver and black 2001 F4i with 13k..one question about it tho is that it has a vance and hines slip on and no power commander is that a big deal? i live next to vance and hines shop and they claim its no big deal but just a question

Hello & welcome to CBRF!
Not a big deal initially without having a PC,however, you'll probably notice "fluffy" throttle response and the low to midrange power may be lacking abit.
Try posting the question in the F4i forum..plenty of guys here to help you out
Oh, and post some pics..we like to see our members rides

picture...i hope....ya the guy at vance and hines said it would be a little lean but not cause any damage since it was just a slip on

Hey there Silverstone, congratulations on the bike & good choice. Looks like it came with lots of aftermarkets, nice. Hondajunkie is probably right about the low/mid-range. My bike's got an Akrapovic slip-on with no PC, and the torque doesn't kick in until 4K RPM, with the sweet spot not until +6K RPM. But it don't bother me none. Changed the plugs at 12K miles and they looked good; not lean.
