Default New CBR600 Owner from Toronto, ON

Hello Everyone,
I'm new this whole bike scene. I have always love bikes, just never had the ability to own one until now. I am a beginner rider, but I have ridden a bike a handful of times.

My cousin Mickey, has built and fixed bikes all of his life out in ontario canada, and the last bike that I knew he was drag racing was a boosted hayabusa. He was the inspiration to my love of all things fast.

Now I Have built cars from the shell up. My current money pit is a 95 integra with a completely built motor and a few other goodies. Built not bought, are words I live by so I wrench and work on everything I own, and this bike will be no exception.

So now that you know a little about me, onto the good stuff.
Its a 2000 CBR600 F4 with 48k on it.
It came with the integrated led tail light, flush turn signals, DnD muffler, tank protector, and bar ends.

I will be picking up some carbon fiber mirrors & carbon fiber bar ends, as well as fender sliders this afternoon. I have been searching for the left and right fairing but it seems to be very hard to find some that have no cracks or scratches. The bike has been downed on two occasions, by the previous owner(he was very upfront and honest about the condition of the bike and what it needed when he was selling it. It helped that it was at a price I couldn't say no to.

Future plans are clean the carbs, and give do an oil change, as well as swap to some clean fairings, add a usb charging port, and to do the F4 to F4i split tail conversion.
I'm open to suggestions, and let me know what you guys think of my new bike.

And a pic of my car for those that care.

Welcome to the forum!

As a new rider, try to resist the need for speed and show off. Always ride under you abilities, which is very little right now. Ride safe and come home safe.

Nice seat. Tricky tucked exhaust too...

welcome to CBRF

that seat mod is a cool little trick. it really does drop the whole banana seat look.

as far as future mods, your imagination is the only limit.

Welcome to the CBR Forum,

No doubt you'll discover bikes can be just as big - if not bigger - money pit than cars!

Be safe out there.

Cheers, SB

Thanks guys, I promise to not get too carried away and will ride safe. I definitely respect the bike and I'm taking lots of time to get to know it.

Going to strip the bike of its fairings this weekend and do a little cleanup, and install the parts i picked up.

I'll have a build thread up as soon as I have done more research on what i can do myself.

P.S. If anyone knows where I can get some fairings for this bike please let me know.
