Sorry for the delayed introduction; picked up an 03 CBR954RR about 3 weeks ago. Been lurking and gathering info but didn't have time to post. Hope everyone had a great weekend and had a chance to ride.

Thanks all. Yes, the gent I bought it from lived off the highway 3-4 miles, and actually a pretty rough road. I was getting ready to head out and his wife walked over and said "you should ride that out for him, he doesn't want to drop his new bike on the first day." I have quite a bit of dual sport time but didn't decline the offer!

Thanks! I have been riding seriously for about 8 years; a lot of dual sport time but also a couple of beemers, SV650, XB12. Mostly canyon riding near SD with a track day or two thrown in each year. I live closer to downtown so tend to stay away from Palomar based on distance and the generally higher probability of being hassled by The Man. Usually stick to Sunrise, 94, and the usual suspects in east county.
