Default need electrical help!

i have a 97 f3 and i know by now how bad they are at burning up regulator/rectifiers, i am on my 4th one. i read on a forum where i need to move my R/R where it can get more airflow to cool it down. i purchased a new R/R and put it on and nothing happens. i checked my battery and it has a full charge but when i switch my key no lights come on or anything at all. all the fuses are good. what the heck is going on??

Hello and Welcome to the CBR Forums!!! I know mine is not an F3 but I do have a main fuse under my seat close to the battery. You didn't say when you turned the switch on if you had any lights, that came on. Hope this helps you out some. If you need any more advise, feel free to ask. You might want to check the F3 section and maybe post your question there also, It would more likely be looked at by more F3 riders.

Good luck and Ride Safe...

Welcome to the forum, trey.

Sounds to me like the main fuse is blown. It's a stand alone fuse that's not with the others.
HERE is a thread that should explain it.

Now on to the reg/rec. If you've replace 4 of them.... I'd be looking at the stator. Something isn't right if you're going through r/rs like that.
If you need a service manual for you bike, you can download one HERE <--link. It will show you how to test your stator and r/r voltage, etc.

Good luck.
