What's goin on guys? Just came accross this site when i was reseaching the Repsol 1000. I assume most of you are going to be biased, but i am really trying to get an honest opinion. I am looking to upgraded from my Gsx-r 600 to a 1000. I am contemplating the 05 GSXR and the 05 Honda Repsol. What do you guys think?

 

I have no clue as to your riding skill so for a unbiased opinion on what bike you should get I would recommend either , they will both kill in the same amount of time if you are stupid.

 

I'm a pretty good rider...definitely no Matt Mladin or Nicky Hayden....but I get around fine. I guess I'm looking for opinions on comfort...design...the exhaust. Any pros or cons would be greatly appreciated.

Repsol, ridden both, and I HATE THE GSXR1000'S I love gsxr's, every yr, except the 05's... that bike is discusting looking, DISCUSTINGLY fast, and did i say its ugly? and very uncomfortable? its like sittin on a 2x4, ***** dont like it.

Repsol, is the way to go. Limited, badass color scheme, turns heads (if thats a perk), runs supreme, has enough power to drop your panties off. Plus, its a honda, which means it handles ALOT better. but the ESD doesnt work that well, granted it works but when your under like 30, nope not happenin...

I suggest you ride both and see which one you can be comfortable with, and enjoy... Trade ppl your bike for theirs and go cruise... Test the handling and the power.

 

I wish my local dealer would let me test ride the bikes. They have both of them in stock. But of course they can't do that. I am leaning towards the Repsol bike though. It just seems to be the better bike for me seeing as I am a slightly bigger guy. They colors and stickers definitely do it for me.

One other question, even though i will probably get flamed for it, but what do you guys reccomend for exhaust? I want something that fits good (i've seen some that were crooked, or loose) and has a good sound.
