Welcome to the board! Previous owner must've liked stuntin' with a 52 on the back. What conversion are you referring to ... 520? I'd take a serious look at the front sprocket and if it isn't too worn you can just shorten the chain with the new rear. If chain or front sprocket are worn ya might consider a 520 conversion. I had good performance outta mine but I'll warn ya ... once the aluminum rear starts to wear it starts going fast.

And clear up the confusion ... first bike or first sport bike? Either way a 929 is a whole lotta beast. Train your right hand well.

I like vortex sprockets and d.i.d. chain. Never had any trouble out of either. But ya gotta change everything out if you go to a 520 ... front, rear and chain. There's a write-up in '1000 Modifications' ... https://cbrforum.com/m_17497/tm.htm it's 1kRR specific but generic enough to get a general idea of what you'll need.
