Well here she is in all her rough glory, a 1990 CBR600 I just paid 1400 for it with almost enough parts to put together another one minus a frame.



It has most of the fairings but, I am missing the access panels on the front lowers. It could use a paint job, needs tires (the rear is showing cords), has the cam chain noise, but otherwise it seems to run decent. I haven't yet taken it on the road just down my 1/4 mile long driveway.

I am still trying to decide what style build I want to do. I like the original styling but fairing parts are getting near impossible to find, so maybe just as it sits keep the rear side panels, no front lowers, fix the dent in the tank and repaint. I have also considered newer plastics as I am a welder and have a tig machine in my shop i could change the subframe and build whatever brackets I would need.

any ideas or opinions are welcome
