My first Honda?
Hi all, I've been riding Beemers all my life, but I'm really thinking I "need" a crotch rocket, so I'm coming to the experts. I like the old Hurricanes and have found a 1000 ('87 model) for sale nearby. The plastics are pretty rough, but it looks like it's all there and it starts/shifts/stops. Are there any things I need to look for? Should I forget the early CBRs and just get a newer one? Should I only look at the 600s? I want a fixer-upper to keep the price low, but I'm worried about parts availability.
Appreciate all your advice.

Welcome aboard boro bum!
Don't let the age of the ole 'cane run you off. There are many of them still on the road today. Ask the guys over in the Hurricane section about your concerns & they'll give you some good feedback, I hope ;-).
