Hey guys, my name is Gary and I'm new to the forum and this is my first rocket. A 2003 CBR 954 with 10,000 miles on it .I've owned a few cruisers and ridden a few rockets,but to be honest with you I'm terrified of this bike. I'ts not titled and plated just yet.Before I take it out for its first ride,I would like to know what to check over for safety reasons.I really love the way this bike looks and would love to get along with this bike for quite a while ( no crashes) I would like to find a service manual for this bike and wanna know if I need a power commander being that this thing has a full Two Brothers Exhaust on it. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanx , Gary

Be sure to check the 954 section for specific questions about your concerns. Hopefully, you'll get the help you need.

Basically, you need good brakes, good tires, good chain & sprockets, etc.

Take it easy on the bike & get to know it. You'll love it!
