Default My first 1000rr

Hello everyone!!!

I just purchased my first 1000RR, I owned a 636 prior to the RR. Unfortunately, I didn't get to ride my last bike as much as I would have liked but will make sure that is not the case this time around.

She's an 06 with 5500 miles but she wasn't loved much cosmetically I got her for a good price so I will just make a project out of making her all beautiful again. I will post pictures soon. BTW I'm looking to purchase aftermarket fairings, based on different posts, it looks like it will either be ktpowersports or motorcyclefairingsrus, please let me know your thoughts if you have any personal experience with either.

I look forward to many years on the site!!!!

@ MotorcycleFairingsRUS.com Im guessing because of my new status, I'm unable to send a PM... The fairings that I'd like is the Honda CBR1000RR 2006-2007 Movistar Edition. I currently have this kit on the bike but the bottom fairings have melted, the rear fender by the seat is cracked & the front fairings have broken clips I dont know where the previous owner purchased this kit but Im hoping the quality of your kit is better

@74demon Thansk for the welcome! Is there a reason why I cant see the PM option when I select a name?

You'll be able to send PMs when your acct is fully approved. See this... https://cbrforum.com/forum/forum-hel...%2A%2A-133320/. Hang in there. You'll be good to go soon.

This is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made!! This bike is incredible!!! I owned a modified 636 which was fast but it's not the same. I was expecting the bike to be quicker but I didn't realize how much more responsive this bike would be.. I barely touch the throttle & she wants to go!!!!

The bike has a power commander & Akrapovic Hexagonal Slip-On Exhaust which adds to the difference I'm feeling. I cant wait to get new fairings & get it cleaned up a bit more.

Does anyone else feel like this bike is just "different" than most out there? Or am I just excited that I have another bike What about any of the "new to CBRs", what's your take so far?
