Default My 1988 CBR 600 Hurricane

I just thought I would share a couple pics of my 88 Hurricane that I bought this week. I bought this same bike back brand new when I was stationed in 29 Palms California. I had so many good times riding through Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs Spring Break and so many more I had to find another one. Garage kept it's entire life and only 12,000 miles on her. 1988 CBR 600 Honda Hurricane

Might be the prettiest F1 I've ever seen.

I like it. But I may be slightly prejudiced on it....I'm taking my 89 out for a quick ride tomorrow since there is no ice on the roads.

What area are you in? Looks like somewhere that is suited for riding year round...

Congrats on the purchase of a low mile gem.

Anyone remember back when they released the "Hurricane"? Honda had a great commercial. "Even the Ninja knows, all things should hide from the Hurricane" LOL! Do a search on the intertoobs and you'll find it. Classic! And a classic bike IMO.

I still think this was one of the prettiest sport bikes back in the day and count myself lucky to have owned one. Loved the minimalist white with simple red bands and red **** pit. She was a beauty...

Locopny, I flew out to Cypress, CA to purchase it, spent a couple days riding her around Cali and she is being shipped back to my home in New Orleans.

Thanks EchoWars. I have spent the past 10 years looking for this bike in this kind of condition. It has always been garage kept out in California, never dropped and well maintained. The only real mods are the jet kit, Yoshimura pipe, new braided brake lines. He gave me the original blinkers/rear foot peg assembly, rear tire cover and the original exhaust if I wanted to put her back to original.

That's a sweet looking bike, makes me want to go riding but unfortunately it's 11 degrees out and snowing where I live And now I wish I had taken my '91 down to Florida last month instead of the Wing but it wasn't really ready to go that distance. Maybe next year...
