Might be getting a 1990 CBR 600, what do i need to know?
Going to check this bike out this weekend. I posted on here earlier that i might be getting a bike. Basically i havent seen it in a while but i know it hasnt been driven for a bit. Its a 1990 and has been laid down, the only thing he knew off hand that would need to be replaced sometime, not right away though would be the chain. It might need new brakes as well.
Basically here are some of my concerns. If this bike is drivable i'm probably going to buy it simply for the fact he only wants 1000 for it andd i can't afford a en expensive bike because it needs to be paid off this summer.
How much is it going to cost to replace the chain? How much for some good new brakes and what are some of the mods i can put on this bike after i get the hang if it. After a few weeks of riding it i'm very interested in re-painting it, maybe some graphics ect. Where can i find these things at? Especially some decent paint, maybe even some directions on what hte best way to go about doing this would be.
I"m guessing have a store owner would be best for the fixes on it, wonder how much they charge though?
Anything else you would advise for me, i am going to be taking the course before i ride however.
