looking at getting first bike
Honestly for 1500 you could get a nice sv650. After 25-30 years your average 600 is going to be a little behind on power. I'm willing to bet the 650 would be more fun around town, not to mention have better handling/brakes and power. That first Hurricane you mentioned looks really nice and I'm sure it would be great, just keep in mind certain things will need replacing. Charging systems go out pretty quick on those.
Good on the 125 though, that's a heck of a bike to get you ready for a sport bike! Honestly an old 600 is probably going to be kinda tame to you.

welcome to the forum drew ! you should definitely get a cbr . maybe you could save a few bucks more and get f4i or cbr 929rr ? plus if you get a cbr this is only the best forum with the best staff to help on any info you may need .
2k for a hurricane is alot. But these are asking prices, which are different than selling prices.
Where are you from?
I'm from Massachusetts. I've set up to meet the guy on Saturday.. I don't really wanna pay 2k becuase then I won't have any monkey left for insurance or gas! I've found a few other hurricanes 600s and they were newer and less $$
Welcome to cbrf. Honda is a good choice period. Reliable, as long as you keep up the maintenance and such. My two cents of advice, don't rush and buy a bike for the sake of having a bike! Take your time, check them out as best you can. Find the best bike you can afford and go with the one that fits you. Nothing wrong with starting on a 600. Especially an older one. But, take your time when choosing it or three four months later youll start looking for another and second guessing your choice. You will always find a newer bike for cheaper then what you just paid, AFTER you bought it lol.
hi and welcome
, the honda looks tidy, dont rush into anything, take your time and have a good look round and allways start with a low price, you can allways go up,but try not to be insulting with your first offer
I agree with the other guys. Mileage Isn't bad if the bike has been taken care of. At your age insurance will be pretty spendy. Just respect the power of the bike. After awhile you will want bigger and better.
Yeah, don't be bike poor. Make sure you leave enough to buy all the right gear. FWIW I bought my 1st Hurricane with a brand spanking new airbrush job for $1000 CAD. A nice paintjob on an old bike isn't worth much, so don't let them sell you on that.
