Default Late introduction... :P

Well, I've been posting randomly and lurking often, but figured I'd join up with the Honda "family" before I really made an introduction. I don't have a real Honda, but I did recently purchase a replica. Anyways, my username is my name. I grew up in New Jersey in the US, but I'm here in Korea teaching English for another 6 months. I don't even have a US motorcycle license yet. :P Anyways, my main bike's a 2001 R1 and I purchased an HSRC drift, which is a China-made Honda replica small bike. Oh, and I do plan on a purchasing a new CBR once I get back home, just doing some research into which would suit my needs better for when I eventually do. I don't normally make introductions like these on forums, but I get a cool sense of community on CBRF.

Hey and welcome!! :-)

I like the R1 you have, since you are already using a big bike and want a CBR then I can think of no other bike I would want to own than the latest CBR1000RR ... they are simply gorgeous and all the bike any sane person or indeed any insane could ever need ...

Take care

Hey Raylee, glad you finally introduced yourself. Since you've been around a year, I'll skip all the froo froo and just say good luck finding a CBR. Will you be able to keep your R1? If so, maybe you want to look into 600RR which will still rock your world, but be slightly more fuel efficient and handle better in the twisties.

Keep enjoying for forums

Actually, I plan on trying to be as much of a track junkie as I can once I'm back in the US. I'm in central New Jersey, that puts the Poconos, LimeRock, Englishtown, and that new Motorsports park all at around 2 hours driving/riding from me. Although this R1 is still rocking my socks, I would like to go to a 600RR because I've heard they're easy as all hell to go fast on around a track. I've had plenty of kicks hitting the mountain roads around here, but frequent construction trucks leaving dust and whatnot make me yearn to get some real track time down. I also secretly dreaming of being at least somewhat competitive on an amateur level... actually, I don't secretly dream of that, I dream of that openly. I secretly dream of being picked up by a Moto2 team and raping like an ape around the world.... *sigh* We can always dream at least, right?

My 600RR lets me ride like this :-)

It seems to steer round the twisties by thought control and always feels like I could
have safely gone twice as fast round each corner ... they are incredible and over my
F3 it has so much more power everywhere even from low down, the moment you pull
off on this bike it is instantly ALIVE!! :-)

Welcome aboard raylee!
I personally will endorse the 600RR for your intro into the Honda Family
Stupid easy to ride fast on,plenty of aftermarket goodies for it,makes for one great track bike
Good luck on your CBR search and keep us posted

Well, I'm on a couple other biker forums, none are as friendly and helpful as here, imho. Also, I get a lot of crap from people in the real world for riding and it's nice to be able to chat with people who are in a similar mindsets.
