an 06 cbr600rr from my buddy about 50 miles away. it was a cold ride back, but much of an improvement from my 95 zx-6 that i sold recently....thing was beat to hell with over 50k and many drops prior to me owning it. new bike was only dropped one at 35mph, minor damage only remains on the fairing as the rest was replaced (brake levers, frame slider, etc). It's got just over 7k miles, and otherwise immaculate.

One complaint is the graphics, tribal orange, with the tribal graphics. I don't like that them that much and needed help in considering what to do about them. I guess the only options I came up with so far are either buying a set from ebay (anyone done this?), trying to take as much off as i can although the gas tank appears to be clear coated therefore making it expensive, or 3 having someone paint it matte black.

Cost is definitely an issue, so naturally trying to remove the graphics seems logical, but searching hasnt found much of one answer as to the ease of doing this.

Any feedback on this would be appreciated, has anyone seen any trading going on with these, even trade that is for another color fairing...?

I can't wait until it warms up so I can really enjoy this hot bike.

he sold it because he never rode it and couldn't get his asking price so I got hooked up. I like the orange but that whole tribal thing I am not down with.


Hopefully I can just peel most of them off except for the tank which is clearcoated. Thanks for the welcome, my progress will certainly be documented on here.
