Default Intro: New UK owner

Hey guys, just wanted to say hi and cheers for the good forum. I've recently passed my Mod 2 (Monday) and got straight out on my 99 CBR F4 which I picked up last weekend.

The bike is way more than I expected. After learning on a CB500 I expected a little struggle when I first got out on it but its been pretty forgiving so far.

About 3 corners into my first ride as I pulled out my street, I accidently dropped the clutch little quick and lost the back wheel, luckily managed to keep it upright but I went from feeling like a pro to a total newbie straight away, hence the name . Was a real quick way to learn alot of respect for the bike.

I've just been taking it easy for the first few days (and for the foreseeable future ) but its fantastic, feels great getting out riding without having someone barking orders into your ear.

I used this forum for some good info prior to buying the bike and would like to say thanks.

Hello to you too Craig! Congrats on passing your test. Welcome to the forum.

I have an F4 as well...great bikes! Be sure to come over to the F4 section & post some pics when you get a chance.

Ride safe & enjoy!

Yeah - gotta keep a healthy respect for these beasts!

Glad you didn't put her down though. And post up some pics of your new girl!

I felt the same way Nate, the massive sigh of relief i took as i continued along the road nearly pulled the visor off my helmet

I'll drop a few pics in the F4 section
