What I cant work out, is why the quotes tour getting are so damm high. Here in the UK, they hit younger riders/drivers, but when you get to my age (41) you can dictate the pace and most insurance companies are prepared for a bit of a price slash. Glade that you got insured, at least that gives you a big piece of mind. Happy and safe riding

I'm with Allstate, but I've had mine since 99. I have life, car, and renters insurance with them and the agent is a friend of the family, also I'm 32. I pay much much less than the current rates... like 150 a year for a 99 f4 and that's about mid-high premium. My agent told me last year to never drop my insurance and look for another because all the inurance companies were changing their motorcycle premiums and raising them to the rates we see now. The reason for the rate increase was Demand. Due to gas increase in the past year or two, more people have picked up either a scooter or motorcycle for transportation (at least in Southern Cal) and the insurance companies are taking full advantage of it.

Brand new 1000rr, under 25, new rider?... Expensive! Most of the people I know only have liability and its savings!

Definitely look around and Good luck finding the best rates!

I'm with State Farm also. I'm 31, house, two cars and my bike with them. Full coverage on my F4i is 11 bucks a month.
