That's a pretty stout bike for your first. Respect it's power and you'll be fine though. [sm=icon_cheers.gif] Keep it rubber side down.

Welcome Aboard ....

Ill let that be said...Contrary to everything youve read or heard..if youre not careful..that bike will become your worst enemy..best of luck with that..if its your first street bike ya might wanna do some wrist exercises in the off season cuz they will be burnin up come spring time...if youve never ridden sport especially an 06...the angle is a lil agressive..some people find discomfort with the angle...but by all means...welcome aboard...POST THEM PICS

Enjoy the new bike, they don't get much nicer than the one you picked out. Since you sound smart enough to respect the acceleration, make sure to be careful with the brakes. My scary noob moments come with stopping, too much of either front or back can be....trouble.

Give the keys to a good friend to hide til you do the MSF. Most importantly keep the rubber side down. Be careful... and welcome.

Nice bike... Just make sure you're aware of everything around you and you'll be alright. Sounds like you've got the goods, but you might want to include somes boots in there. Ride hard (after the break-in period of course) but safe!
