Default I'm a noob :) Is this a good deal

Hey guys! I'm new to the motorcycle world! I've ridden a little bit in parking lots with my cousins sabre and v-star and have decided to get a bike.
My good friend has offered to sell me his bike a 96 cbr600f3 for $600. It runs well.
The catch, it has no fairings, the throttle sticks, and the bracket where the mirrors connect is a very minorley bent. I'm pretty handy with mechanical stuff so i'm pretty sure i can fix the throttle sticking problem and maybe the bracket (the mirrors are still solidly on there and point well). Do you guys think this is a good bet? I also like the idea of having a bike i can drop with out freaking out over replacing the plastic. thoughts?

Sounds like a great deal to me!! If you don't want it, let me know!! LOL .... J/K .. but fairings are optional and it's your first bike so who cares. You got a clean title and it runs.
Have fun and be careful.

wow thats a steal. i'd hop on it before someone else does.

my first bike didn't have fairings. wasn't too much of a concern for me -- because i was on 2 wheels!

Yeah i'd go for it! The throttle sticking is probably as simple as lubing something, fairing stay can be bent back easily if it's not totally whacked.. And if you want fairings, you can scrounge around the 'For Sale' section and usually find some cheap fairings or try Ebay.. But over all it sounds like a great deal!
