I'm new to cbrforum, and lovin' it!
Hello everyone, my name is Josh from Las Cruces, NM. In June, I purchased the last 2006 Red/Black CBR600RR in the area, and I'm glad I did. (don't care for the 2007's as much). Anyway, here are a few pics of my bike as of a week ago. My Avatar and signature pictures of my bike are photoshopped if you were wondering. I'm currently in the progress of "1000RR-ing" the front end and tank. It's going to look sweet, and I haven't seen anyone else with a 600rr like this, so hopefully I'm original. LOL.

I always wanted painted letters so I went to checker and they have a thing called tire markers that are like a paint pen. I also pin-striped the outer edge of the rim with red to bring in the red a little more.

These are the original turn signals, but with clear lens. They also have Silverstar bulbs inside to give a more modified look. They do light up amber.

That's it, I hope you all like it. Glad to be a part of the community!

I thinke the pinstipes look great and the tire pen sticks out...nice!

Hello Fox and welcome...well done on the tyre painting and the wheel stripe...looks very professional. In fact your bike looks like it just came out of the dealer looking like that!! Also, the yellow on the tyre matches the yellow "CBR" decal. Looks fab.
welcome to the forum, great job on ur bike, it looks real nice........... i like the tire markers too, i had those before on my bike befor i had an accident now my bike is gone............[sm=boohoo.gif] lol... next year is coming close...

Yeah, the pinstriping was easier to do in my opinion. I took a medium thickness red pinstripe (professional grade striping) and went along the bubbled edge right along the edge of the rim. Almost right up against the tire. This way, the wheel actually looks larger than if you were going to stripe the flat "sidewall" of the wheel. Plus the fact that I only spent about an hour total and it didn't cost me more than $10.
Hope that helps man. Thanks for checking out my bike.

The tire markers I used I got at Checker Auto Parts for about 8 bucks a pen. Works great. I got the pinstriping at Pep Boys (sad I know) but they do carry the professional grade pinstriping or OEM quality pinstriping.
Good luck!
